Weather Overview

Barbados is an island blessed with a year-round climate that is as near to perfection as any could get. We're talking about over 3000 hours of sunshine yearly, cooled to salubrious daytime temperatures of 80-85 degrees Fahrenheit (27-29 degrees Celsius) by North-Eastern sea breezes.

Sunrise and Sunset

The times for sunrise and sunset vary by as little as 30 minutes from season to season. Generally, the sun rises at 5:30am and sets at 6pm. People are often surprised at how it gets dark so early and so quickly - this is because Barbados is so near to the equator.

Liquid Sunshine

When it does rain it is usually brief and intermittent. Sometimes you may encounter the unusual tropical phenomenon of the sun shining and the rain falling simultaneously. This is referred to locally as 'de devil an' he wife fighting fuh de cou cou stick'. With just enough 'liquid sunshine' to keep the island lush and green, Barbados is quite simply, paradise. But don't just take our word for it. Come see for yourself what adventures are possible with such glorious weather. There's lots to see, doexplore, and more!
