Commercial banks' exchange rates are set by the Central Bank of Barbados and will be the same from one bank to the other on any given day. Besides the US Dollar which is fixed at USD1.00 to BBD1.98 buying and 2.02 selling, other exchange rates may vary from day to day. With private brokers the exchange rate you receive will depend on the broker. On the street, the US dollar is usually accepted at 2:1 . . . just a tip.
