Description
The tour begins with a drive through historic Bridgetown and the Garrison, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Travel north along the western “Platinum Coast,” known for its luxury homes and scenic beaches.
Stop at Holetown, the site of Barbados’s first British settlement, and visit St. James Anglican Church, built on the island’s earliest place of worship.
Continue to the northern tip of Barbados to see powerful waves crashing against the cliffs. Then head to St. Nicholas Abbey Plantation for a guided tour of the plantation house and rum distillery, including a tasting of their distinctive non-blended rum.
Afterwards, enjoy lunch and a drink at a nearby local restaurant.
The tour concludes traveling along the east coast at Bathsheba, where the Atlantic Ocean meets the island with force. View the famous Soup Bowl surfing spot and its unique mushroom-shaped offshore boulders.
