Hazell's Water World Inc. (Divers Supply) is the Diving Equipment Specialist!
It was the love and passion for diving that inspired John and Ken Hazell to create Hazell's Water World. They realised there was a need in Barbados for a complete divers' supply centre to cater to dive shops, as well as to local and visiting divers and snorkelers. The company also supplies snorkel gear and fish identification cards to local cruise operators.
The authorised dealer on the island for Tusa, Waterproof, Cressi and Mares, diving equipment, Hazell's Water World strongly believes customers should be able to see, feel and even try on equipment before they buy it. Hazell's offers great advice and tailor-made recommendations, because to them 'no one diver is the same.' There are manufacturer warranties on all in-store sales and a discount on servicing of equipment originally purchased from Hazell's.
Tax-free shopping is available to visitors (passport and airline ticket must be shown, and cruise ship passengers must show their cruise ship ID). There is also generously no charge for the assembly and testing of new equipment purchased from them. They currently have in stock a range of diving accessories from Marine Sports, Dive Lights, and U/W Cameras. They also sell T-shirts, ladies swimwear, wet-suits and rash guards from Waterproof and Mares for sale. The store also features a wide range of products from the brand Head Swimming.
Hazell's Water World is centrally located on the scenic Carlisle Bay, on Bay Street, on the outskirts of the capital Bridgetown. Parking is available on the south side of the shop. Carlisle Bay Marine Park is also located here - a fantastic area for snorkeling and scuba diving that is easily accessible from the shore. Alternatively a trip may be arranged through any of the dive shops on the island.
Hazell's Water World was created in the spring of 1990 by son and father team, John and Ken Hazell, who have more than fifty years experience between them. John Hazell is a Padi instructor who has been diving since the mid-1970's, doing so in his off-time with Barbados' dive club, the Barbados Dive Association or 'BADASS'n'. John would be happy to chat with you about some of his favourite dive sites: Mount Charlie, HighWire, Castle Bank, Pieces of Eight, Carlisle Bay, Bright Ledge and Maycocks. His diving experience extends as far west in the Caribbean as Belize and Mexico, and as far east as Tobago, including the stunning Grenadines. He has also dived extensively in British Columbia, Canada.
