Oistins is the main fishing town in Barbados. This festival recognizes and pays tribute to the efforts made by people in the fishing industry. As well as street fairs, singing and dancing and exhibitions of local art, the people of the industry are given a chance to exhibit the skills of their trade. The festival normally takes place around Easter weekend.
