Description
Explore the beauty and diversity of Barbados on a scenic tour, visiting many coastal places that make the island the gem of the Caribbean. After a hotel pickup, be driven along the South Coast beginning with Bridgetown, the Capital of Barbados and a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Next, make a stop at the historic St. Ann's Garrison, commonly known as The Garrison, built by the British in 1705. After soaking in a bit of history, it’s time to enjoy the Barbados coastline as you make your way up the coast and through the popular fishing village of Oistins
Make a second stop at Miami Beach, a favorite with visitors and locals alike. Leaving Miami Beach, drive further up the south coast to Foul Bay, a long and wide beach whose shores are washed by turquoise waters.
Continue to Codrington College, the oldest Theological College in the western hemisphere, dating back to 1715. From there, journey through the Parish of St John and into St Joseph down into Bathsheba which was named for its great beauty, and the location of the surf spot of Soup Bowl.
After a morning of beauty, taste the flavor of Barbados with local cuisine served up at the Animal Flower Cave Restaurant on the Northern tip of the island. See how this part differs drastically from most of the island, with waves crashing into limestone.
Leaving North Point, head down the West Coast of the Island through two of the island's oldest towns, Speightstown and Holetown. Learn how Holetown was the site of the first British landing and settlement.
Stop at a local bakery in Speightstown for some local treats and hear about its former glory as the main port of the island before returning to your hotel.
