Reviews
I love Blue Horizon and I would definitely stay there again. Our housekeeper, Petagaye, was really friendly and helpful. The front desk folks were also friendly and helpful. We had some issues getting enough washcloths, and the restaurant was seriously short staffed one day that it took about an hour to get breakfast. All solvable issues, and everyone apologized promptly. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay!
First of all : Blue Horizon is and has been our second Home for many years. We like Our room, and all the staff is like Family to us. We feel very comfortable with everyone. If we need any help, we know they re there for us. Both Mel and I needed help this year and they were there for us. Mel could not find his thyroid medication, and keep sleeping all the time. Dale kindly drove me to Lewis Drug Store to pick it up, as David Lewis had Prepared some for him. Then I got quite seriously ill and they were all there for me. And My iPad stopped working and I had to get a new one. Again they were there to help me set up the new one and transfer All my information to the new one. It was a rough year and vacation for us, but we knew they were there for us. I am still not well. It is also well located, opposite the beautiful Rockley Beach, And Quayside Mall. It is hard to single out anyone, as everyone was so caring and helpful. Dale, Angela, Erica, Amari, Khalil, Pedro, Paul, Mr. King, Rodney, our main cleaning Lady Kimberly, who did an excellent job each time & So many more. I will continue to recommend Blue Horizon, to anyone I know who is coming on Vacation to Beautiful Barbados. There is also a very nice gardener. Even a singing gardener. I am sure I have left out a few caring people. The owners are very blessed to have such capable and caring staff. Sonia, is very good at keeping the cleaning staff doing a Great a job, and That everyone has all they need. Thank you to everyone on the staff for your efficiency and caring. In Gods Mercy and Goodness we will be visiting again next year. I see a few faces in front of me but their names escape my memory. Take care of yourselves and each other. With Our Thanks and Gratitude. Margret Gill and Mel Austin.
February 26,2026. This is my third stay at Blue Horizon Hotel. I was not very happy with the second stay. But on this third stay , I would say that I have seen some improvements that would encourage me to stay again. The room that I stayed in this time was a standard and it was ok in my opinion. The luxury of a big size fridge was not there but that to me is not very important this time around. The staff was still very good as usual and I would stay again just because of them. Sharon the booking consultant was very personable and helpful with our booking. Angela, Dale and Jelisa in the restaurant and the Front Desk were very amicable as usual. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay in Barbados for a reasonable price. This time around in Barbados prices all over are higher than usual because it is the busy time but Blue Horizon is still very competitive regardless. So with all that said, if I had to return to this Hotel it would not be an issue with me. Hope this review is favourable to anyone reading it. Thanking you.
I've stayed at the Blue Horizon multiple times since 2003. It is not a fancy hotel but it is clean and in a great location. The staff are friendly and courteous. It provides good value for your money and great access to the beach across the road. All the amenities and food options are in close proximity. We will be returning on future trips. Just be aware that it is on a busy roadway across from a popular beach. If you are looking for quiet and secluded, this is not the place. Otherwise, very good spot in the heart of everything.
We spent a week at blue horizon over the Christmas holidays. We loved it there. The room was absolutely spotless and quiet. The location is excellent, across from Rockley Beach, a beautiful beach. Restaurants are nearby and a bigger grocery store about 10 min walk. The breakfast was simple with coffee, tea, at least 3 types of fruits, toast, jam, butter, cream cheese , yogourt. We have to remember this is a 3 star hotel so the expectations have to be accordingly. Staff was always helpful and big thanks for the cleaning staff. ( we were in room 208) I can hardly wait to get back. Thank you to everyone at Blue Horizon!!
