We popped in here for dinner and boy were we happy we did. Not only fantastic views but a lovely ambience. We were served by a lovely young man who looked after us well. My friend had the Brazilian steak option and I went for the seafood board, both were delicious. Prices weren't to outrageous, we definitely got what we paid for plus just made cocktail hour ching ching!. They did a lush lime margarita for 10 BB. So go try, enjoy 😉
This hotel is a real gem. The staff is incredibly friendly - especially the ladies at the front desk and Philipp who takes care of all matters...there is nothing he can't fix . Excellent yoga classes 4 times a week are included. I never stayed closer to the beach which is spotless and lifeguards watching for your security. The only thing I noticed is the bad behavior of guests occupying the sun loungers in the early morning and then disappearing for hours ....but I guess we Germans started that habit 💁♀️. All this combines with the breathtaking underwater world makes sure that we definable will come back.
Amazing oceanfront hotel. Recently updated. Friendly staff. Pretty garden courtyard. The onsite restaurant had great food. We ate there multiple times. Don't miss the Sunday BBQ. Awesome location with a ton of restaurants within a half mile. Right on Dover beach and the sand is beautiful.
Fab location right on the beach with plenty of loungers and parasols for guests. The location of the hotel bar, also on the beach, made it easy to slip off the sunbeds and partake in the 2 daily happy hours. The hotel is located in St Lawrence Gap at the heart of Dover Beach where there are plenty of bars and cafes to visit - most of which are reasonably priced for Barbados. The restaurant 'Boucan' at the hotel served freshly prepared food for a reasonable price. The service was much better at lunchtimes than in the evening from some reason but we enjoyed the food and hey, we were operating on Barbados time! The atmosphere at the hotel was calm and relaxed but picked up considerably during teatime happy hour when people would gather at the bar. Our room was a decent size, the bed was large and comfortable, there was a safe, fridge, coffee machine and toiletries courtesy of the hotel. Rooms were serviced every day to a good standard. Sometimes items which required refreshing were removed but not replaced but a quick visit to reception would resolve this. We felt the hotel was reasonably priced for Barbados based upon the facilities, service and location. The main issue was the noise coming from the bars to the left hand side of the hotel two evenings a week. This is obviously out of the control of the hotel so I'd recommend that if you enjoy a lively evening on your holiday stay on the left of the hotel and join in the party. If you're after a quiet time make sure you check with the hotel that you've booked a room on the right! All in all, we had a great holiday. We were happy with most aspects of the stay. The hotel is good, the staff are helpful and friendly and Barbados is beautiful. We intend to return and would be happy to stay at Hotel Le Roy again (in a room on the right!).
The location of this hotel is great. Just at a very beautiful beach. Beach beds are in plenty and the bar is closeby. However, I didn't like their cocktails. Too watery. Too much ice you don't even feel enough alcohol. The rooms were quite basic for the price you pay. Food was ok but not great. The waiters and waitresses are too serious here. As a client you don't feel very welcome except at the reception. What I ordered for food was not what came. I asked the waitress about it and she didn't even offer an apology. Service needs to be better.
