The Barbados Dive Operators Association (BDOA) will once again host this event which aims to raise awareness of Barbados' coral reefs and reef fish populations, as well as encourage locals to learn more about the precious ecosystems that surround Barbados.
The Festival will feature water awareness programmes, scuba and freediving demonstrations, beach clean ups, conservation tips, lionfish hunting and tasting, as well as scuba dives all over the island - including the breathtaking east coast.
Barbados is home to several 5-Star PADI dive shops, more than 10 ship wrecks and over 30 different dive sites. Local dive shops will be participating and offering tickets for discounted dives and demos throughout the five days of the Festival.
Touring the open waters in Barbados does not necessarily require that you get wet. Dive Fest Barbados will also feature dry tours led by renowned Conservationists that will help you gain a better understanding for our ecosystem and what you can do to help.
