6Mix Bar + Kitchen

You know what? The food at 6Mix is really good pub grub/bar food. The drinks are also really good. But the service is pants! I’m all for giving young people jobs and experience but you gotta develop them to provide good service. We went the other night and the place was empty but it took the server at least 15 mins to come n take our order. Then, we had to wait for her to be kind enough to actually order them and then bring them. Our wait for our food order was just as bad. At one point the kitchen rang the bell about four times and none of them were ours. The server said she’d check on our foo after noticing my wife’s vexed face and said it’ll be five mins. Fifteen mins later the food was brought by someone else. The only bright point for the evening was Jamelia who was another server who noticed our angst and actually spoke to us. She gave us a discount on our bill equivalent to about 10% but it’s not about a discount. If 6Mix can sort out their service, it’ll be a top spot. Some serious training and core business values would help heaps.

This is a no frills half open air environment for restaurant/pub/bar. The waitresses are all dressed in black and the entire place is in black. I could not tell if the staff were staff or visitors. I had Wings which were generous and sweet potato fries were good as well. Garden salad was way too much but nicely done. The bar area is generously well stocked and good bar man. If you like noise for sports games or just passing through then this place is for you. Located on the South Coast of the island in Worthing, very central place to wind down with a few beers.

The food here at 6 Mix is usualy pretty good. A wide variety of wings and other dishes that all taste pretty good. Today, We arrived at 6Mix just before 4pm. We are still waiting for our food and it is 5:25pm. 1 shrimp wrap and 1 veggie quesadilla. I know there were people here before but this wait has been excessive. Usually the service is better even in the evenings when there are more people and we order more food. Definitely disappointing today!
